Governor honours 25 persons at Seva Bharti function for their contribution to society

Governor Lt-General (Retd) Gurmit Singh today participated in the “Seva Samman-2022 programme” of Seva Bharti, in New Delhi on Friday. On this occasion, he honoured 25 persons who had made commendable contribution in various fields. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, he observed that those who had been honoured in this function were working to give a new direction to the society and he congratulated them on being honoured and recognised.
Lt-General Singh said that Seva Bharati was doing important work towards the preservation of education, health and culture. It was a unique effort to honour the personalities who contributed in the fulfilment of these objectives for the betterment of the society. He said that the path of service was not easy. A soldier, a saint and a servant gave everything for the betterment of the country and society. He said that by following the path of service, one could take the nation towards prosperity. He called upon the people to always try to connect the weakest person and class of the society and attempt to bring them in the mainstream of the society.
The Governor said that the Seva Bharti was playing a big role in building a prosperous and integrated society through education, health and self-reliance of the poor and helpless. The work of Seva Bharti was visible in every corner of the country. On this occasion, he congratulated the office bearers of Seva Bharti for this successful event.
Union Minister of State General (Retd) VK Singh was also present on the occasion.
